Earlier this spring you sent around an e-mail advertising this Glen-L 8’ Hydro and KG-7.  I bought it the same day from John Slator. The motor was in fine shape but the previous owner painted it a silver metallic gray. So. I painted the motor green, refurbished the trailer and steering wheel, detailed and waxed the boat, polished the prop and hardware. It came out very nice.

I took the hydro to the Keels and Wheels Concours in Seabrook May 1st and won a silver trophy in the contemporary outboard class.    Dion Johnson

                                                  David Coffey's Birthday Party 2/06/2010 

It was a combo show with custom cars, hotrods, and restored classics. It was well attended by both outboarders and rodders. During the morning, most of the activity was people showing up, setting up their displays, and meeting and greeting. At noon there was a bar-b-que lunch served with plenty of beef, chicken, sausage with all of the trimmings. After lunch the judging began with the boat folks voting on the cars and the car folks judging the boats and motors. Frank won best motor of the show with his Chris Craft 10hp Commander and Chip won best boat with his 1942 Century Imperal Sportsman. The winning car was the Ford Model T Bucket Roadster.
The weather cooperated with plenty of sunshine.  A great time was had by all.
